surfacebook Software lock for SurfaceBook Screen Detaching?

I've had my surfacebook performance edition for a while now and I have always been waiting for Microsoft to release or build in a lock for the detach button. I find it really stupid that even being in a locked state, the screen can be detached. I also want to be able to not accidentally ONE click the detach button which is so closely seated next to the internet options on the taskbar and thus detaching the screen instantly. 

Is there any way to software lock the screen? especially when the computer is locked.

You could pop off the keycap and remove the spring? ... a bit of a permanent solution though (Technically, as long as you didn't break anything, you could put the spring back in)

Haha. I still like the functionality of the key though!
