Motherboard LEDs

Hello, I have a Asus Z170 Pro gaming. I'm trying to get all the LEDs off when i  turn off my pc. I manged to get most of them turned off by turning off fast start up in windows. Also i changed the apm settings in bios.

But one pesky light remains do you have any ideas how to make it stop so i can sleep properly without having to flip a swtich?

That LED is the Standby Power indicator.

It let's you know if the motherboard is getting power, if the system is on, sleep, or soft-off mode.

You cannot disable that...might need to cover it up with black tape, or use the trusty black Sharpie pen.

 

On second thought...have you tried, Enabling/Disabling ErP?

I had it on enable s5 which turns off most lights except the one in the pic, when i turn it off i got several more LEDs lighting up

There's not much you can do, as it's a power indicator LED.

Essentially, it's job is letting you know the motherboard is alive and getting power from the PSU/wall socket.
