PC randomly shutsdown under load?

Hi

 

I recently build a new gaming PC that ran fine for several weeks.

But now it's started to randomly shutdown when running demanding games (like DOOM, Mass Effect, etc).

 

The PC is a 8700k, Gigabyte 1080ti, Asus Z370 Prime-A, Corsair Vengeance LED DDR4-3200 DC - 2x8GB

The PSU is an older CX750M

 

Bot CPU and GPU is watercooled.

 

My CPU temp maxes out at around 66C and GPU at around 60C

 

Anyone got any idea whats causing this???

I had the same problem turns out for my 24pin was not plugged into mobo properly. Also, check psu for dust

Reset the BIOS to factory defaults, test for a while
Also, check for any BIOS updates

how old is the psu? it's possible it's broken..

It actually seems like that was the problem. I installed a LED Strip yesterday and must have knocked it loose.

Now after resetting it I've just run Witcher 3 for about 30 min with no problem.
