I have gotten 6 different pairs of Bluetooth headphones for my phone, no settings changed whatsoever but each one doesn't change the volume of the phone at all, they increase and decrease in volume when pressed, so the buttons aren't faulty but the phone doesn't change volume, and I know it is separate because I can increase my phones volume manually and it increases the phones volume more, so what gives?

And they say  for Android and ios right on the box, no third party apps have been installed either

Do you hear the sound getting louder and quieter using the in-line volume control?

Yes, but it isn't  ha ginger the volume in my phone, I have to manually change that, when the headset is max volume, it has its own volume, when I change the volume on my phone manually after that the music or whatever I am listening to gets even louder, so they aren't doing anything to the phone, same Android version, as before wireless earbuds have worked,  nothing has changed

It's probably working as intended and has it's own volume control then. Nothing to worry about as long as the buttons work and you can listen to music.

not when they used to be able to control the volume when i first get them, not to mention, i can't listen to music, if the music is too quiet and controlling the volume with the controls on there don't let me make it louder, i have to go and manually change it on my phone, which defeats the purpose of having volume controls, so there is clearly something wrong, if when i first get them, they do change my phones volume, and then all of a sudden they stop changing my phones volume, the first part of that indicates that they should be changing my phones volume.

Has your phone updated recently but the software/driver that works with the earbuds not updated? You can always keep your phone volume at 100% and then use the earbud volume controls from there, and it will work fine.

But check for updates. What earbuds are they even?

there is no software or drivers for the earbuds, and the phone hasn't been updated since october, i got the first pair of earbuds in december. they are bluedio TE and most recently a pair of taotronics deimos, all of which say they work with android straight on the package

My Bluebudsx do this. I honestly just keep my phone at max volume and change the headphone's volume only. It's not elegant but it works.

Fedora KDE - 7800X3D - 9070 XT // Thinkpad T14 Gen 1 - AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U // Steam Deck OLED // Nothing Phone 2

that is what i may have to do, at least it isn't like i am the only one with the problem, even tried it on my moms old phone, it was android 4.2.2 and it still didn't work, was just trying to rule out any changes or newer updates that may have occurred
