Random Windows Hangs

My computer often just hangs whenever doing things such as playing games. I have run a mem test and it turned up fine, I have run chdisk and it was fine. I went into event viewer and found this error listed many times through out the last little while "Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued." Is there a way to fix this without reinstalling windows or anything? I don't think its a hardware issue. Thanks!
