Will my computer run vive or oculus?

So I currently just over clocked my AMD 8320 fx to 4.5ghz, and I upgraded my gpu to a 1060 over clocked as well and currently am running windows 8.1 and I was curious if this will do for either the Vive or the oculus or if I should upgrade my cpu. From what I’ve heard it would work but it may be a bit glitchy.

Either. I would look into an upgrade for the CPU & motherboard first, perhaps Ryzen, if you intend to pursue VR.

Here, If you have steam download and run this I scored an 11 with a 6700k not overclocked, 16gb of ram and a 1070 from asus strix. it will also explain the scores once you finish it.

Why ryzen would you recommend? Would the 5s work?

1400 or 1600 would be my prime choices.

Would that require a new motherboard? Or can I cut costs and keep my current one?

You need a new motherboard with a compatible chipset.

So which motherboard should I go with if I got a 1600x? Plus at this point I’d need to get new ram sticks as well wouldn’t I with ddr3 ram sticks?

Or could I get by with a 9590 and not change my motherboard and ram? Or some other chip in the Fx option that doesn’t cost me an arm and a leg to essentially remake my computer?
