Hello!

I am currently in the middle of building my first gaming pc. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/bKvwM8. will this work? there is no power supply and hard drive on the part-picker site becouse they didnt show up.

i bought the graphics card earlier and tried to use it in my old hp pavilion p6-2045sc. https://support.hp.com/se-sv/document/c03090484. and it didnt work in the pcie 2.0. im quite scared my card is broken. can somebody help me out?

Edit: i wont try to overclock anything if it isnt totally needed.

You'd get a little more bang for the buck with a Ryzen 3 system.

Also, that H110 board needs a BIOS update to work with a Kaby Lake CPU. So unless you can get a definite confirmation from the vendor that's been done, I wouldn't make that gamble.

Does you mum know you're here?

VVoltor, do you know if you can install that bios update on a flashdrive to download when you are downloading windows or cant you even get to that stage?

No, I don't think that board supports updating from a flash drive without the CPU, so it won't boot at all.

You need an older 6th gen CPU to perform the update before you can use the 7th gen CPU you're planning on buying.

But again, a Ryzen 1300X and a B350 motherboard gives you more for the same price.

Please don't buy an I3. Get yourself an i5, +2 cores helps with everything

Or just an 8th gen i3, which is quad core.

For your GPU problem though, either your card is bricked or maybe the shitty HP Prebuild PSU is shit. Theoretically it should work.

EDIT: I'd advice you to:

1. Get an 8th gen i3 8100 or an R3 1200

2. Safe some bucks with only 8gb of ram and upgrade later

3. Get a decent motherboard and potentially

4. a worse case if your budget is tight.

Thank you for all replies, i think i will go with the "ask tech store to uppdate bios" option. i did some benchmark chekking and in gaming, neither the i3 8100, the Ryzen 3 1200 nor the Ryzen 1300X are that much better in gaming preformance. but as i said, thank you all for replying <3.

p.s if anyone has other solutions i will still be active on the post.
