Noctua cooler came without AM4 bracket

Or was your just "Noctua NH-U12S"?

 

If it was the one I linked, contant newegg and let them know that the AM4 mount wasn't supplied, they can probably get one sent out to you.

Or if you don't want to wait, yes buying that bracket will let you mount it.

So, I'm pissed because I payed a premium price for a Noctua NH-U12S cooler that came included with an AM4 bracket off newegg. However, they still manage to send me the original that comes with only AM2 bracket support.

I just wanted confirmation from this community that ordering the NM-AM4 mounting kit off newegg (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAADY5BC4729) would give me the correct bracket and allow me to put it in my PC.

If you guys could help me with this, I'd be grateful, thanks.

Talk to newegg. they should ship it to you for free or replace your cooler with the right thing for free.

 

However, if you do want to buy it, then yes, it will allow your cooler to mount on AM4
