Razer blackwidow problems ?

Hello i am probably going to get the razer blackwidow ultimate 2013 and i am wondering if anyone has problems with it because som many people are complaning about quality iam using a deathadder and a carcharias and i have no problems with them.

So if you have problems using it please tell me

I don't really think there would be any problems with the 2013 edition. To be honest Razer products are quiet solid and have used their products in the past before. But before you buy it you should read actual reviews and also try out the feel of the keyboard itself at the store when you get there. There are a lot of good mechanical keyboard brands out there such as SteelSeries, Ducky, Filco, Cooler Master, RoseWill etc which are just as good. I'm personally using the Mionix Zaibal 60. I don't know if it's Razer or just mechanical keyboard construction problem but thing that annoys me the most in BlackWidow Ultimate 2012 is space bar. My thumb is often on left side of it and when I happen to play games more relying on jumping(ie Guild Wars 2 jumping puzzles) it tends to come of it's "mounting". You can see the mounting mechanism here. That little white thing he hangs onto a metal bar is very hard to place into a key for me. Again, I don't know if it's just Razer's idea or it's just how space bars in mechanical keyboards are mounted. I learned to press my space right in the middle after a couple of times however.

How are they different from normal cherry mx blues? I'm very curious about this because I also have a blackwidow (standard edition).

Razer, to me, fails hardcore with keyboards. They never seem to get everything right... that Lycosa -___-

I'm really not to sure but I remember listening to one of Linus Tech Tips archive and he mentioned it, that they were "modified" I don't think he went into much detail though.

I actually had quite a bit of trouble with my blackwidow like automatically typing random letters and spamming it like "fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff" It won't stop until I've unplug the keyboard and updating to make it compatible with synapse just literary bricked the keyboard

I have a normal Black Widow which I have had for nearly two years now with any problems. The only thing I dislike about the older models is the gloss finish but I believe the 2013 models have a matte finish. One of my mates have a Black Widow Tournament Edition and he has had no faults with that keyboard as well. I strongly recommend these keyboards!

The Lycosa is TERRIBLE right? I had it. Terribly glossy finish, mushy keys and the touch pad thingy in the top right corner died in a few months.

Brought it back and got a Filco Majestouch 2 with blues, couldn't be happier :D

It also serves pretty good as a blunt weapon as well..
