MSI Optix G24C Display port no signal

I wanted to buy a good monitor so I bought the MSI I said above and I get it all setup and plug everything in. I turn on the computer and I notice that the monitor says no signal. I plug in the old HDMI I had and it worked. I looked up some youtube videos and I have tried

-Unplugging the monitor

-Unplugging everything and rebooting it

Please help me I am worried I will have to refund the monitor because I cannot get it to work

- Gtx 1060 3gb

-Intel i5

-16 gb RAM

-500w Power Supply

-h110m - ds/hyper mother board

I also have 2 monitors and one is in the HDMI and the MSI is in the DP and not working

Did you switch the input on the monitor menu to DisplayPort?

i got the same problem, so does my brother (both bought the same monitor. he had an extra DP calbe but i dont. His other cable seems to work. But the cable that conmes with doesnt. how weird is that?

Any1 know a solution yet?
