Custom Mobile VR PC idea

Twinleaf

So my grandma left me this cute little TV that ended up being busted and I just was watching the custom candy builds so its stoked the PC building fire in me.

What I want to do is make a system with some hard (or soft if hard would be too much) pipe water-cooling that is VR ready with a small screen where the old one was so I don't have to lug a huge monitor around! Possibly using the old knobs and buttons functionally would be a big plus. The problem is that I have never done a custom mod like this before. I've only built 5 PCs in my lifetime (Technically 6 but that was when I was 7 yrs old). I have an idea of the parts that I want to use in the build selected, I just dunno how difficult it'd be to do it all in this small of a form factor in something that doesn't already have the structure to support holding such a thing inside it.

TL;DR Am I in over my head or is it possible to do this?

Jesus that thing brings back memories.

It looks like it's possible but do you have any measurements?

My budget is around 1000 dollars, plus anything from my current rig that I can fit inside.

Yeah I know, but I'm selling what I don't use from my current rig so I will have a little extra

Let's say you sell the 970s for $340, gives you a budget of $1340.

What are your mobo and psu?

I think you could fit a slim 240 up top and a 120 on the side with the mobo, psu and gpu sitting on the bottom.

How's this for the rest of the build?

Keep your current cpu, RAM and storage and use the cash you saved to go full custom.

I can sell you:

8 bitspower fittings (best out there)  with 2 45 degree, 2 60 degree and 4 90 degree angled adapters.

A reservoir with a ddc pump mount

1 se 240 (slim rad, should be enough to cool it)

All you need are a pump and cpu/gpu blocks.  If you get the zotac mini 1080 there's a decent chance you can buy the block seperately later, though simply getting a reference card would be easiest.  What are the internal dimensions?

Ok so @Damascus...

What's your pricing for all that? You aren't gonna gouge me for the rest of my budget, right?
