Hey,

It appears that my current GPU will die shortly (artifacts started appearing), and I also planned to get new Nvidia equivalent of 1070-80 this summer/fall so I don't want to get a lot of money right now.

I am currently using 1080p so I am looking for something around 150euros that will work well with this resolution, I've noticed 1050 in the price range and used 970 ( pricier and less available) can you let me know if you had any experience with those cards?

High settings around 60 fps in older titles (skyrim se with mods/inquisition/overwatch) would be great if possible, thanks for all your suggestions!

A 1050Ti should do the trick.

a used 970 will do for those games, i had a 970 and even considering the .5GB of slower VRAM will demolish any 1050/Ti in any given title. Just bare in mind, some uses like Netflix 4K may require your GPU to have HEVC (so pascal it is). But for Skyrim, Inquisition and Overwatch 970 will let you max out on 1080p with decent FPS.

iirc, my 970 could get 45ish fps in inquisition maxed out in 1080p (with an i5 3570K @4.2ghz)
