i just bought the 1070 and didnt see much performance which im pretty sure is due to bottleneck so i ordered ASUS Prime X370-Pro AMD Ryzen AM4 DDR4 DP HDMI M.2 USB 3.1 ATX X370 Motherboard with AURA Sync RGB Lighting and AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Processor with Wraith Spire Cooler (YD1600BBAEBOX). now im wondering what ram should i get. im only getting 2x4gb rn jsut dont know what speed is good. i picked this out but i think i might wanna go lower https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0123ZBPDA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 i might even save up enough money to buy this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014JESKRW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1

If you want something fast a 2x8gb b-die kit is the best you are going to get:

what the hell is b-die lol

Short version: the samsung memory chips (on the ram stick) that work the best with ryzen for high speeds.

B-die is the name given to a series of 8Gbit single (but also dual) ranked RAM chips that overclock the best on DDR4 platforms, It's made by Samsung and used by some companies in high performance DDR4 kits. It's usually capable of 4666MHz CL12-12-12 28 in the hands of a master overclocker using binned hardware. It will cost a lot for a good kit though, but basic kits can be had for not much more than trashy RAM. Micron E die is also good, but stay away from Hynic MFR for Ryzen

Yours faithfully

Thats the issue, those cheaper kit MIGHT not reach the advertised speeds. The ryzen CPU performs much better with higher memory speeds 2933+

Eh, I'd recommend not buying anything like, if you do only get the cheapest 2x4GB 2400 MHz stuff, nothing fancy, the cheapest the best and then buy a nicer kit later. G. Skill Flare X does work OK with Ryzen though, a kit of that would be a solid decision

Yours faithfully
