Transfering files

Ok so for like fiveever ive been downloading stuff to to my phone and when i get home transfering the file to my computer and all of a sudden i get these darned windows logo drive things (picture bellow) so what about the other files that arent part of the logo thing well i try to move them and it moves the name of the file im guessing idk but its in the file i moved it to but is only a KB large no matter what file format it is, then clicking on the the file results in a message saying file unsupported. But thats just on a good day other times it will freeze up the file manager program and clicking the x windows 10 decides to have small crash ig idk but screen goes black and then comes back a sec later reloading all the shortcuts and junk. So im not really sure what all i can do. As far as the device its a galaxy s7 sm-G930P and ive done the system cleaning thing thourgh the settings not a thrid party app and also the phone does the same thing with my laptop as well.
