Hey, I have been planning to upgrade the 6gb ram in my Dell Laptop N w/ i5 to its max of 8gb @ a higher speed of course. As you know currently ram is at an astronomically high price (used @ $15 ea and new @ $43ea). Would it be a good idea to buy used ram instead or wait for it to drop to something much lower (like I was hoping)? What are the risks when buying used? Also, are there any reliable programs out there that can tell me exactly what ram will work with my computer and the best I can get?

ram is practically unbreakable (if you don't screw with it physically or do some seriously werid shit with it). most manufacturers offer lifetime warranties. go for the second hand ram any day if you're low on cash

Don't forget to quote when replying to me
