Upgrade?

AngelOfBodom

Hey guys!

My system is decent for what it is. 6700k @ 4.7, 16GB of EVGA RAM @3000, 1TB HDD, 128GB SSD & 250(?)GB SSD, 980TI, and 280 EVGA AIO. Decent keyboard, mouse, etc. Just feel like I need to upgrade in some way. Any suggestions? I can wait. I know the time isn't right to upgrade anything major due to prices, etc. Just want the most out of games.

If you have the money, I would suggest getting a 1080 or 1080 Ti.

I think coffelake might be a good upgrade, considering you just need to get a new motherboard and cpu.

If you have enough, you could probably get a 1080ti or 1070ti if you want better performance in games.

I would say wait for 6 months or so. GPU prices may drop? That setup is pretty decent assuming you aren't running out of space. A 1080Ti if you have cash burning a hole in your pocket.

Save up your money for a better graphics card and a nice 4K monitor to go along with it. Wait for sales in the future. You could even wait for the GTX 1100 series.

Unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket, there's literally nothing in that PC worth upgrading. That system is like, what, 1 gen old? Not worth it.

Maybe a monitor upgrade to 1440p 144hz or something better if you don't already have one.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 10 Pro

I'd recommend waiting a bit but the 6700k is still a good processor. I'd say shell out for the GC right now. Getting a 1080 might be good for because if you change architecture you end up needing 4 new PC parts
