I bought watchdogs 2, and it seems to run very badly and take up a lot of resources

My Specs:

Intel core i3-7100

8GB DDR4

7200RPM 1TB HDD

GTX 1050ti 4GB GDDR5

when i run the game at 1080p at low settings i get around

low: 30

avg: 40

high: 60

FPS

and MSI afterburner says my GPU is running at 130F, at full fan speed

Is this because of the game?

Is there any way to fix it?

Best of myself(1000th post)

I stupidly fell for its sale price this week, having vowed to never buy a Ubishaft open world game again,

those shiny graphics got me, but after an hour.....Ubi-boredom set in

why do they make their games feel like work?

refund that shit

Watch Dogs 2 is well optimized for GPU and looks gorgeous on ultra but it's very CPU intensive. My i7 6700 can't even get stable 50 FPS on ultra settings. However dropping geometry to high and shadows to very high helps a lot and I'm getting pretty stable 60 FPS with some hiccups and 100% CPU usage spikes. I've currently played it 52 hours and bought the season pass and it's actually a very good game. Great improvement from original Watch Dogs.

Intel Core i5-13600KF @ 5.4/4.3Ghz (P/E) / Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black / ASRock Z790 PG Lightning / 32GB Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 @ 6400Mhz CL32 / PowerColor Radeon RX 6950 XT Red Devil 16GB @ 2700Mhz / Samsung 980 Pro 1TB / WD Blue SN570 2TB / Corsair RM1000x / Lian Li Lancool 216 / Lenovo G27Q-20 (1440p & 165Hz IPS)
