I only 1 hour ago oc'd my r5 1600 to 3.8ghz leaving voltage on auto, but the voltage never surpassed 1.4v according to aida64, If I went any higher than 3.8 it would for some reason knock down to 1.5 and stay there, the only way to fix this was to reset the bios to default settings and set the frequency to 3.8, if you could help with that that would be great.

I also oc'd my T force Dark 3000mhz from 2133 which they were at to 2800, any higher and the system would try to boot several times and then give me and error message, I have little experience in both and with the memory only changed the frequency and nothing else, do I need to set voltage or anything, I have run 2, 10 minute long aida64 tests with no problem but the system has crashed twice, any help is grately appreciated.

How much wattage does your PSU provide?

Do you have enough power to run your PC safely with an overclocked processor or is your CPU starving for power?

I have a 550w gold corsair psu, I run a R5 1600 and an Asus Strix Gtx 970

Does your motherboard support this higher than 2133MHz?

Try clocking it to 3.7GHz instead, but look online for any forum that talks about overclocking this particular processor.

I don't suggest even slightly over clocking your parts until you understand what you're doing and the possible risks that might rise from it.
