Ok so my dreams of getting a $800 pc for christmas was shattered, but I am not going to give up. I'm going save up enough for pc out of my own pocket. I am thinking about spending $500 USD. I was thinking about going socket FM2/+, because it seems like I will be able to upgrade easily by simply adding a GPU to the build. Please give me suggestions and let me know if I am wrong about going FM2. Thanks in advance for all suggestions

Why the Athlon? Wouldn't a A10 6800K or 5800K a better processor?

I think asus has a micro-atx motherboard that can SLI and Crossfire Here Edit: The CPU can't handle crossfire or SLI

I would say go Nvidia because they are actually available. Also look around for Christmas sales.

The Msi 7870 is currently available and a bit cheaper.

I'd also recommend a slightly larger psu. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2jXpT

The 750K is 5700 with the iGPU and higher binned.
