Windows 10 PC Freezes or Restarts Randomly

Hey guys I'm having a problem with my PC freezing or restarting randomly. i have done a lot of research on this and have tried. running stability tests using things like Furmark and other tests, i have tried testing my ram, I've tried checking cpu temps. I seen somewhere that the new creators update caused others to freeze, but it's been happening before the update even came out. if anyone could give me a solution or have any ideas id like to hear them. also could it also be a surge? like if i bought a surge protector would that help?

I will list my PC specs just in case it's needed.

RAM: 8GB 1333MHZ KINGSTON

MOBO: ASUS P8H61-M EVO

Your power shouldn't be surging that much, if it happens alot your PSU would be dead by now. You could ask your power company to test your power but I wouldn't see that being an issue. Plus you'd see flashes on your screen + other devices would be going crazy.

The most likely is your Windows install is getting a bit dogey, you should try doing a recovery without deleting your personal files (that's Settings -> Update & Recovery -> Recovery -> Reset -> Keep files)

As Windows seems to be acting up already, back up anything important now before it's too late.
