So I just tried mining with my GTX 1050 ti & I know it's kinda not the choice for mining but I just wanted to gave it a shot. What I noticed was the temperature of my card hit 81 celsius!!  I know under 85 C is fine but it was the first time I saw my card running this hot. I fired up MSI afterburner and the clocks were damn too high,  about 1700 mhz+ all the time. So I decided to underclock the GPU forcing it to run at 60C max & obviously with some fewer bucks/day it maintained the temperature. I fired up GTAV & the temperatures weren't this bad. About 69C-ish so I wanna ask what is making such a huge difference! The clocks hit about the same frequencies anyway but still, the temperature is far better!

afaik mining is an inconsitent load so during low points the card will boost higher than at high points

Yup, load drops momentarily between finding new jobs.
