I have a pc with an i5 processor and 8 gigs of ram and it should be able to run just about any game decently, the only downside is it has integrated graphics, intel hd 600 to be specific and it only allows 128mb of dedicated video memory and ive done some research and this is most likely the probem, is there any way to raise the dedicated video memory? i've attempted BIOS and i have also tried the regedit method, which was probably a hoax to start with.

Why not just get a dedicated GPU? You'd get loads better performance. What particular i5?

Main System: Phobos

AMD Ryzen 7 2700 (8C/16T), ASRock B450 Steel Legend, 16GB G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 3000MHz, AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB (XFX), 960GB Crucial M500, 2TB Seagate BarraCuda, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations/macOS Catalina

Secondary System: York

Intel Core i7-2600 (4C/8T), ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3, 16GB GEIL Enhance Corsa DDR3 1600MHz, Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB, 240GB ADATA Ultimate SU650, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

Older File Server: Yet to be named

Intel Pentium 4 HT (1C/2T), Intel D865GBF, 3GB DDR 400MHz, ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB (HIS), 80GB WD Caviar, 320GB Hitachi Deskstar, Windows XP Pro SP3, Windows Server 2003 R2

i can play CS and Minecraft just fine, i want to play rust and arma 3

Then it's not the problem of video memory, but the low performance of the graphics chip itself. Get a graphics card.

1050 if you need a really cheap solution. Its nit the video memory jts just the graphics chip itself. 1050ti ks the better option and if you have enough momey 1060 6g

The 3-gig is fine. Anything that uses more than 3 gigs of VRAM is probably making the game overall unpleasant to play with low framerates. Not enough compute power on the 1060...

The 6g not only has more vram but more cores as well. Its basically a ti version of the 1060 so the advantage isnt only with higher vram.

Just get a real GPU. If budget is an issue, you could just pick up a 560ti for 30-40$ off ebay and be good to go. Hell I got mine for 27$. :)

i7 2600k @ 5GHz 1.49v - EVGA GTX 1070 ACX 3.0 - 16GB DDR3 2000MHz Corsair Vengence

Asus p8z77-v lk - 480GB Samsung 870 EVO w/ W10 LTSC - 2x1TB HDD storage - 240GB SATA SSD w/ W7 - EVGA 650w 80+G G2

3x 1080p 60hz Viewsonic LCDs, 1 glorious Dell CRT running at anywhere from 60hz to 120hz

Model M w/ Soarer's adapter - Logitch g502 - Audio-Techinca M20X - Cambridge SoundWorks speakers w/ woofer

It's a 20% price difference from the 3 to 6 gig model and you only get 1280 vs 1152 cores. A 10% increase in maximum performance.
