Posted December 23, 2017 I'll cut to the chase. I'm convincing my mom to switch to Android since she needs a new smartphone (she's currently on an ancient iPhone 4). Currently, she's considering getting the iPhone 6S. However, she's a little worried after I told her the news about Apple gimping their smartphones all in the name of preserving battery life. After a few hours of searching, I found a couple of Sony's former flagships which are pretty cheap now. They share a lot in common, most notably the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, 64 GB of storage, IP68 water and dust resistance and that classic rectangular Sony design. Here are their prices along with a screenshot of their specifications: 1. Xperia X Performance - 1319 MYR (323 USD) 2. Xperia XZ - 1599 MYR (392 USD) 3. Xperia XZs - 1759 MYR (431 USD) Also, is the XZs worth the extra money compared to the XZ and the X Performance? I am not keen to spend for extra features unless it is definitely worth it. However, is USB Type-C, Sony's colour sensor and a bigger battery worth the extra ~50 USD in your opinion?
