Hi guys, So this is just an inquiry post but i am planning on buying a GPU soon. Now here is my system specs :
i7 7700k, 650w CX650M, MSI Gaming M5 Mobo, Cryorig Quad Lumi cool, 4 case fans, 500gb samsung 850 EVO and 16gb DDR4 TridentZ all on a 32 inch 1080p 60hz monitor.
I am hoping to buy a GPU that will last, preferably one i will be able to get a minimum of 50+ frames on games such as The Witcher 3, Shadow of Modor, Battlefield 1/4, Watch Dogs 2 etc. Id prefer to run them at High settings preferably and if i can hit Very high and ultra while maintaining this level of framerate consistency then thats a plus but ill settle for 50+ (just 10 below 60, should be fine but preferably 60 is the real goal here)
I am currently looking at the GTX 1060 6gb, I am inquiring what you guys think would be the best buy here. Also keep in mind id prefer something on the cheaper side and with that being said id also like to ask where and when do you guys suggest i buy this card so that ill get a good deal. Also do you recommend buying used cards off of like ebay? Would it be worth it? Are used cards even remotely an option? Just clarifying some stuff before i go ahead and buy any card.

Please assist me in my decision of card here. Thank you very much guys! Love ya'll <3

Do you realize this, aside the shitty monitor, the system is extremely over kill? like do you do professional workloads on the PC as well? otherwise you have bought a very high end system to pair it with a simple GTX 1060 on a 1080p60hz monitor which is very odd.

To make a more senseful match I'd advise the GTX 1070 Ti so the system is balanced and the 1060 is not giving you any very high ~ ultra settings on most recent triple A even at 1080p, so it already starts off as a not future proof card one tiny bit even if your display is low end.

Loool i was planning on going with an i5 but i got the i7 7700k and the mobo as a black friday bundle at microcenter and it was a very good deal so i just went with it. I understand is a bit overkill but atleast its future proof? loool i also am learning photoshop and premiere so it may come in handy there. The monitor was just a good sale as well and this was my first PC build. I built it literally last sunday, so its a bit off balance. I mean an overkill CPU just means less bottleneck right? atleast on the cpu end. I will most likely end up saving up for a higher end card but i was thinking of honestly settling for a 1050ti and selling it to upgrade sometime next year. Also heard new series of GTX cards are on the horizon so might go with that but uk, any advice here? all is very much appreciated.

Back on track : So in regards to the CPU, u think a 1070Ti is the way to go? Forget about the 1060 or even 1050Ti right now and just wait till i can get a 1070?and also as a side note, since the monitor is 1080p 60hz and appearantly more shitty than i thought, what do you suggest in terms of upgrading that? 1440p monitor? go for an ultrawide that is smaller than 32inchs but with high res and refresh rate? As i said, first build so in terms of optimization and pairing options im learning. All advice and teachings is well appreciated and will NOT go to waste

no overkill cpu means more bottleneck but instead the cpu is bottlenecked by the gpu. you should really get at least a 1070ti and a better monitor. The 1060 ist not really a future proof option especially considering the direction displays go in. I would recommend you get at least a 1440p monitor that is ips. If you get a 1070ti or 1080 with that you can comfortably run everything maxed and have very nice 60+ fps, no need for a high refresh rate monitor. But really a 1050ti in that build would be dismal.

More bottleneck in terms of the cpu not being able to perform at max due to the underpowered GPU, but here is my quesiton.
Lets say i had a 1050ti in this system with an i5 7600k cpu instead, would i get more fps as compared to using the i7 7700k? just checking how the bottleneck works.
But anyway, i will go for a 1070 or 1070 ti! I may not be able to replace the monitor right now but i will look into getting a 1440p one. Thank you, Also my friend was going to give me his old 1050 ti, should i use it in the meantime or would it not matter?

no of course you would get pretty much the same fps, the bottleneck always depends on the lowest performing part. But the problem is money, you simply spent too much for that cpu, but anyways. If you can get the 1050ti yah sure use it in the mean time, its still better than integrated graphics...
