I'm currently using a corsair vs450 power supply and I'm worried if it can run my pc. Specs are :

Ryzen 3 1200

Asrock b350

Team elite plus 8gb 2400mhz

seagate 1tb

galax exoc white 1060 6gb

Monitor : Lg23mp68vq

If my psu is enough, I'm planning to add 6 rgb fans then I'll start oc'ing.

If not, please suggest any good psu to replace my vs450. Max budget is 100$ =).

Thankss!

Wattage is enough, but the quality isnt. Corsair VS are known to blow up (not in explosion, but a pop) and can damage your system, sometimes killing them. You shouldnt buy it in the first place and I urge you to replace it.

At this moment the best option is the Corsair CX550M . I know it's even higher wattage which isnt needed, but at $35 it is a better pick than the $51 CX450M.

Sadly, a g2/g3 isn't available in my country. So should I go cx550?

cx550m, yes as @Jurrunio said, more specifically because you have a 1060 6gb.  i thought you had a 1050ti or something and the vs450 would've been still less ideal, but applicable.  But, when you have fluctuating power being delivered to something like a graphics card (through 6 pin or 8 pin pcie power connectors), you don't want to fall short on the power supply.

🙂

Thanks! I've looked again for what psu I can buy and I didn't notice that there is an available g2 psu. Right now my choices are

Evga 650g2

Corsair sf450, tx550

Seasonic x series, focus, prime gold / platinum

Is it worth it to spend more money on those psu or is it a better option to go for a cx550?

A Corsair CX550, like many suggested, is a needed upgrade. A 1200 and 1060 might draw 220W under OC load.

Also, why get 6 RGB fans when you don't even have an SSD? Definitely get at least a 120GB SSD before you spend $100+ on fans that won't really make your system look that much better.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Owww thanks! I'll just go for an ssd then before getting fans.
