I'm fiddling with EVGA precision and I'm wondering whether I need to increase the power target to safely increase my core clock? Also will increasing my memory clock by 50mhz give me any benefit?

Alright

Raising your power target lets you card use more power to overclock. Also 50MHZ won't affect performance much.

Yes, and yes.

The more power you deliver to the GPU the higher clock is achievable, much the same way as CPU overclocking.

50Mhz isn't going to give amazing performance differences either, but it will still boost performance :)

Thanks I kinda thought that but wasn't sure only have raised like 20mhz anyway.

Any rough estimate on how much I should raise the target for an increase of 50MHz?

Entirely dependent on how good of an overclocker your GPU is. I've had chips that will OC 150Mhz with only 5 percent increases to power targets/voltages and others that needed alot of extra juice to get anything extra out of it.

Only real way to find out is to sit down and test it out yourself :)

Thanks, Ill stick with my slight overclock and when I get more time i'll play around with it.
