Audio Stuttering

Currently on my PC I am experiencing various stutters in audio where there is a 'buzz' for a fraction of a second while listening to music on spotify, watching youtube videos or movies on netflix. Has anyone else come across any problems like this?

 

My PC Specs are listed in my profile but the basics are

• 6700k
• GTX 1070
• MSI Gaming 3x Krait Mobo
• Bose Companion 2 series 3 speakers
• Acer Ultrawide (CZ034CK... I think)

The issue started ( I think ) after I moved my setup from home to university. If it makes a difference I am running the audio cable from the speakers directly into the monitor.
