I recently bought a new cooler for my ryzen 5 1500x on my b350-f. I upgraded from the spire to the hyper 212x. After upgrading, I noticed I could hit 3.9 ghz@1.35v stable albeit before the upgrade I could not. Could this be a problem with vrm cooling and if so, how should I fix this.

Not an issue with the VRM cooling at all... VRM cooling is not an issue except on X299 and the higher core chips.

1.35 is basically stock, the x variants will even boost up to just under 1.5, and the b350-f has a good vrm heatsink anyway. So, no, the only limiter your experiencing is the cpu temp linked to whatever cooler you have attached.

Fanboys are the worst thing to happen to the tech community World. Chief among them are Apple fanboys.

Thanks a bunch! On another forum, someone said the b350-f had bad vrm heatsinks and predicted it could be the bottleneck. I doubted it and I think rightfully so.
