Need a new gaming laptop

I am looking for a budget laptop for gaming and school work for my brother he has a budget of about 500 dollar US. There is some give in the price if it is worth paying more for. The main game he wants to play is PUBG and he would probably play other games too. I don't know much about laptops but I do know a lot about desktops so any help would be nice.

You won't be able to buy a laptop that could even open PUBG for $500.

 

You're best off getting the Xbox One X.

You can get an older refurbished PC for around $500. The old Lenovo Y50-70 laptops are great buys for anyone looking for a well-built used machine.
