Well, it really doesn't need an upgrade right now. If I had to think of one thing, I'd probably upgrade the case to something with better airflow and cable management. If you mean a performance upgrade, then a CPU upgrade might be in order, but really the 6600k is fine right now and even for a year or so longer.

HEADS UP, THIS ACCOUNT IS INACTIVE NOW

I'm keeping everything else the way it was for anyone who might check out my answers in future, but I won't be using LTT.

I would like to go to a CPU with hyperthreading (7700k would be awesome), so probably one of the i7s that is compatible with my board. Upgrading to 1080 would be nice too except for GPU costs being sky high right now. Plus if I upgraded the GPU I would feel like the monitor would need an upgrade as well to not be wasted power. The CPU was the only part I didn't buy new in my whole build, so that's partially why I want to go with that one. I knew it worked and it was never overclocked (before I got it).  As far as the monitor goes, I'm not terribly worried about going over 60 Hz. I would rather have 2k or 4k resolution with 60 Hz (Again 4k needing a 1080 or higher to be optimal)

What about soft line/hard line water cooling? or just an AiO for the CPU? So far my temps in my case are pretty good. Idle with overclocking doesn't go over 30 Celsius, and in use usually around 50-60.
