I have been getting random crashes without a bsod when playing games and I think its memory related because I have a weird ram issue (can only have 3 ram sticks in at a time: all slots work, all sticks work, just not all at once) so I was going to set up a memtest bootable usb. When I went to set up the only usb I can find I realized that it was only detected in devices and printers and device manager. This wasn't the big issue as I could buy a new drive, what I realized when doing this was that im missing a driver for pci simple communications controller. I dont know how to get the driver. The hardware id for the device is PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A2BA&SUBSYS_7A591462&REV_00.

I found this:

https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?90763

http://www.tomshardware.com/g00/forum/id-3552744/pci-simple-communications-driver-error.html

But I'm a little confused as to your actual issue, as VEN_8086 sounds like Ethernet more than USB.

Just a quick question about the RAM sticks tho, are they from the same multi stick pack/company etc or a mix/match(different models brands sizes etc)? Because if they are not all identical it could be the internal workings of each stick causing issues with each other. (could be wrong)

Also for whatever reason the USB still doesn't work if your computer can or someone elses can burn a CD download a linux distro like Ubuntu, the install disk will have memtest.
