today i added a 2gb ddr3 1600 mhz ram to my pc which already has a 4gb 1333 mhz ram i manually under clocked 2gb ram and edited the timings to match that of my 1333mhz ram. my pc works fine , but i was wondering if this is going to be a problem in the future and will this fry my motherboard ?

specs : amd fx 6300

gigabyte ga78lmt usb3 motherboard

gtx 1050ti

corsair 450w psu

It won't cause any problems. I don't think you needed to manually downclock the 1600 stick, since the motherboard would already have tried to match the memory frequencies and timings if they were in the same channel.

However, note that you won't get dual channel unless you matched capacity as well, so going from 4 to 6GB won't really change performance all that much unless you were running up against problems with memory running out.
