7700K Overclocking Issues

So I tried that paired with the 5.0GHz @1.350v overclock and tested it. It just lowers the clock by 200MHz to 4.8GHz, overriding the 5.0GHz clocks.

no it doesn't, it only lowers the clock when doing AVX workloads which are more stressful on the CPU. You shouldn't be doing avx stress tests anyway.

I'm trying to get my i7 7700K to 5GHz, but I'm encountering some issues while doing so. I was able to get it running at 4.9GHz at 1.315V, but when I tried 5.0GHz at up to 1.350v, it is unstable. I am not really willing to go higher than 1.350v. I have it on an ASUS Z270E motherboard with plenty of power and cooling capacity, and 16GB of 2133MHz RAM. The CPU package stays around 60 degrees, with the hottest cores at around 70 to 75 degrees. I tested everything on Aida64, stressing the CPU, FPU, and cache all at the same time to try and ensure stability under extreme loads.

Blue screens I have encountered are:

- SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

- SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

- PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

- IRLQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Applying more voltage (1.320v -> 1.350v) seemed to have fixed the following blue screen errors:

- KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

- ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NONEXECUTE_MEMORY

I am quite confused by the variety of errors, and I wanted to know a way to fix them.

Just to make sure since it only displays two digits, 02 is 200MHz?

every bios is different it could be 02 or 47
