Hello forum! I have a strange question, after scouring the internet for an hour and finding nothing. I have a Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming card, and I love the look of the RGB on the top of the card. However, I am tired of using two different programs to control my GPU and MB lights. My MB has an extra RGB header, can I (assuming I can safely get the card apart and back together,) plug the RGB strip on my GPU into the extra header on my MB? Or will the power difference between the MB and GPU be too much? Thanks!

depends on the motherboard, if it's a gigabyte rgbfusion board you can sync gigabyte gpu's and gigabyte fusion ready products

do NOT attempt to sync products that are not specified to work with your motherboard sync. Just because they use the same voltage doesn't mean they will work - many people end up killing their rgb headers and other devices trying to sync things that don't sync.
