Moving program files over to SSD?

so I am picking up an 840 EVO with the new build and I was wondering if I copied program files to my 1TB then moved the programs I want to the OS on the SSD's newly created program files afterwards would they work normally or would I need to remap them or something?

You would need to reallocate them.

how would I go about doing that? a program or reinstall them
