Had my pc overclocked with a stable oc. Nothing wrong with it, no crashes, etc.   Today i installed a 2nd gpu.  I have a quadro p4000 in slot1 and this r9 270 in slot 3.  The amd defaults to x8 3.0. Its also sharing lanes with m.2.

Ok so.. if i reset cmos, put all motherboard settings to defaults,  it boots into windows  fine.   If i apply my overclock profile, it will not boot at all.  Just loop.

I. DO NOT have the amd driver installed yet.   But i don't know if this has anything to do with it,  since its not driving monitors or anything, its just hard ware in a port at this point.

The only settings i see  that are related to my pcie lanes are the manual voltages that are set. (Pch voltage is locked at 1.05 manually)  and they are manually set to gen 3, vs auto on the defaults.

Any ideas? Maybe just install the driver and try again?
