Icelake vs Coffelake

How much faster do you think icelake will be compared to coffelake? Between Kabylake and skylake to Coffelake, upgrading from those two CPU's don't seem worth it at all, especially with these prices. Do you think the same performance difference between Skyelake and kabylake to coffelake will be the same?

One moment.

Anything we say is basically baseless and complete speculation, it's not really of any use and shouldn't be used to make a purchase decision. Either wait and see or buy now.

Its gonna be a tock, so not that much faster.

Icelake is the tock to Cannonlake's tick, so it could likely be much faster than Coffeelake, considering its comparing 14nm++ to 10nm+

literally will be able to take on Thread ripper with only 4 of its 8 cores, Can play 16k 60fps Crysis, Honestly not much probably how we went for 6th gen to 7th gen and not much changed.  But hopefully it is a  ICEY CPU and it stay cool becuase of the naming scheme
