I have a 7700k in a gigabyte z270 ud-3 motherboard. It has a 5ghz overclock on it but I don't know how to set an idle clock so it is on 5ghz whenever the computer is on. Can someone help me find the setting in the gigabyte bios to adjust my idle frequency? Thank you

Your post is not clear. Do you want it to down clock to below 5ghz when at idle or do you want it to hold the 5ghz regardless of process state?

i think he wants the idle frequency to go down to save power? maybe. i think.

if thats what you want then go to advanced power settings and set minimum processor state to 5%
