New mic needed?

Go to solution Solved by AAJoe,

Hey @c0d0ps

There sure is :) Download Equalizer APO from Sourceforge.

Run the configurator and when it asks what devices to select go to ONLY the input tab and select your mic.  (Do NOT select your headphones/speakers etc).

Reboot and then run the Equalizer APO program. Make sure your mic is selected from the drop down at the top right and set the pre-amp to whatever you need. I suggest starting at +10db.

Problem solved!

Background info

I currently own and use Hyper X cloud 2 to play Overwatch in competitive. But I feel like I am often not heard enough because of my microphone sensitivity. Therefor I try to keep the microphone closer to my mouth but sometimes it's still not enough..

What I have previously done

If I go to the taskbar on the right side and right-click the;

"speaker-icon" > "Recording devices" > double click my headset > and then click on the "levels" tab to try and adjust my microphone sensitivity

It is locked at 0.0 dB.

Main Question

But previously I had Hyper X cloud 1 and there I could boost my microphone sensitivity by 20 dB and that helped me immensely.. Is there a way to increase my sensitivity for my microphone with this headset or can I buy a new microphone and maybe adjust the settings there?

Sounds great when I listen to my own voice, just need to test it in game. Thanks
