I'm currently running an 2nd Gen Core i7 2600K, My motherboard is a Asus, P8P67 Deluxe. My board has issues posting, restarting and sometimes doesn't even boot. I'm looking at replacing it with a MPower MSI z77 board, however I know the 4th Gen of i7's are coming out. Should I wait to get a newer 4th Gen board or get the MPower. Will my CPU even work with the Mpower?

Are you sure the posting issue lies with the motherboard and not CPU / RAM / another factor? In regard to 4th gen i7 (aka Haswell), there will be a performance increase over IB (3rd Gen) of around 15%, or it is rumoured to be that. My advice would be to wait and buy a whole new Mobo and CPU set up in the summer as Haswell uses a different socket (1150 as opposed to 1155 of 2nd & 3rd Gen). In terms of whether mpowerwill work - yes it will, z77 is backward compatible with Sandy Bridge.

look into the issure you have with current board, most problems related to the problems you discribe are a hardware issure like ram or a add on pci card, wrong drivers,

do you have the latest bios? when did this problem start? look into what changed at the time it caused problems.

every case if different and without some solid information and specs its difficult to diagnose.

don't give up and if in doupt Asus customer service will be able to help you out

got to love Asus components

I've looked into getting a new board, this board has given me issues here and there since day 3 from the build. I installed new drivers a little while ago and don't think they've been updated since.
