I'm looking for a cheaper power supply for a gtx 1060. I saw a gtx 1060 3GB for 199 usd and missed it so hopefully it'll go up again (probably won't). So I'm looking for a psu around 50 USD. preferably lower. the system consists of an i7 4770 and 16GB of ddr3. I was hoping to fit in a cheapo case with a psu and gpu but I cant find the gpu yet. :(  What psu's do you recommend for a gtx 1060?

Seasonic S12ii 520w is a good budget option. I got mine for around £40 which is about $53. I think they're cheaper in the US though, so you could probably pick up an S12ii 620w for around $50.

Honestly I would say go for the 1060 6gb because 3gb is a limiting factor now or if not now in 1 year and for the psu I love say get a cxm 450 2015 version

Hmm, is it in terms of efficiency that it's bad? I've had mine for a while now and it's been rock solid.

Tldr: it was decent in 2010 but is now far outdone by entry level psus

Yeah, I just read that. I'll replace the PSU when I get a new GPU, the s12ii is fine for my current setup as I don't draw anywhere near 520w.

Yeah, it's not bad enough to warrant immediate replacement but not something I would go out and buy.
