curved vs flat

millerb415

which is better for a 34 inch ultra wide flat or curved was debating between 2 monitors one 1080 flat the other (over double the price) 1440 with a R1900 curve. the resolution difference does not really matter to me so i was wondering if the curve makes a big difference? i will mainly be using this monitor for productivity which is why i want the bigger monitor so i can have many programs open side by side.

Can you please send a link to the monitors. Curved is supposed to be better because it supposed to give you better veiwing angles since every part of the display is the same distance from your face and it supposed to be more immersive. Both of these reasons are false and I wouldn't say theres much benefit with a curve. Its basically a gimic so that the manufacturers could increase the price of the monitor.

Unless you want the resolution bump the curved 1440p monitor is pointless. Also would like to say I have the 29 inch version of the 1080p monitor you sent and I really like it.
