so my xbox one just sits in my bedroom and get used occasionally for netflix or something. i dont game on it because i just prefer my pc BUT i do have some games for it that i enjoy (like GTA V). I was talking with a friend of mine and he joked that i should just tear the xbox apart and "rebuild" it into a tower case big enough to support 2 mobos. I think itll look janky as hell, but with some case modification, i dont see why this isnt doable. i would just need to make some power cord and display cable holes and find a way to make the power on button accessible (though the controller should still be able to turn it on) and make sure air flow is still proper and it should work. Iv never torn down a game console before so there may be something im not realizing. anyone ever attempt something like this before? a lot of my pc games i use a controller for anyway so i always have one near me and i could just plug into an hdmi switch to change input sources. what do yall think?

I was trying a while back to do it in a dreamcast, and while it would work, it would take a lot of effort, so I ended up not doing it. Hope it works out for you!

So this just transformed into something a bit bigger lol. My case wont fit the xbox mobo and thats fine. My wife has a friend who's boyfirend is a carpenter. hes coming over this weekend to look at my desk and talk about modifying it with a glass top and boxing in the under panel (much like LTTs pc desk case mod video) then ill do all wire routing and air flow stuff. this route will allow the xbox, pc, and ps4 into one housing. totally unnecessary, but should be cool as hell.

This sounds like one hell of a fun project. Make sure to take photos and create a build log. I'd love to see the progress!
