I just got a new gtx 1060 strix OC card by ASUS and wanted to test the card. This is what happened. As you can see, my computer is completely freaking out and I have no idea what could be doing this. I have a 1 and a half year old prebuilt with the GPU recently added, I also bought a new monitor to go with the card (my old one was VGA only). I won't be able to test wether it's the monitor or GPU as I have no other compatible monitor.

P.S. This isn't the only time it's been acting up, whenever I watch Youtube or play a game, it does the same thing but to a much more managable scale. It also crashes right after launching Overwatch and I must Ctrl+Alt+Delete and restart my computer.

have you tried to overclock or is the card set to Asus' defaults/profile? With pc off remove the gpu and slot it back in to see if there's some connectivity issue, check power connectors to make sure proper connections are made and check for driver updates if none of that does anything

It's set to Asus' defaults. I'll do the rest of what you said tomorrow and will report back with any news.

Re seat it and clean install of drivers. If that doesn't work take it back.

With pc off remove the gpu

I just removed the gpu and plugged in my old monitor to simulate my original setup. The computer turned on and all the fans were on, but nothing can up on my monitor. I tried turning off and on my monitor, but to no avail. I then proceeded to hard shut down my computer with the power button, still nothing. So, I had turned off the power supply via its switch and turned the computer back on thinking that this was just a one-off thing. The same thing happened. I tried again but with the graphics card and new monitor, still nothing. Before originally shutting down my computer via the home screen, it said it needed to update so maybe the update screwed with my computer somehow? And no, i didn't turn off my computer while the update was going on.

I'm not sure if i can take it back or not, it's already been over a month (I had tor wait this long because I needed to get a compatible monitor for the card). I'll have to double check the warranty on the card.
