I'm looking to invest in a PC that I would build myself but have no idea what parts to look for. I am looking to get a Ryzen 5 1500X (not sure if this is a good idea) along with a graphics card with Radeon rd 580 architecture and 8GB of RAM (not sure if these are good picks or not). Could someone point me in the direction of a good motherboard, cooler, power supply and a good graphics card with rx 580 architecture?? I have a budget of $1000/£800.

Yes, the 580 should be better choice over the 1060, 580, looks like has better performance in future games, the most recent shows good lead over 1060.
Also if you get a special series 580 like the Red Devil Golden Sample or Nitro it should pretty much the same or faster even on Dx11 games.

For the motherboard, the B350 Fatal1ty seems to lead the pack, for features and overclocking. But all depends on ur budget.
