Hi, long time no post.

Anyway, I'm considering getting an echo dot for Christmas. Obviously the inbuilt speaker won't cut it so I wanted to hook it up to the amplifier I use to power my TV speakers, however I don't want to have to get up to change the amplifier source (kinda defeats the point of an echo if you ask me) so I was wondering if there's a way to run the echo and the TV through one source simultaneously, maybe even turn the TV down but the probably asking too much haha. Of course the cheaper the better, hopefully someone can help as I can't find much online and it's stumping me.

Thanks

the propper way to do that would be to get some form of mixer, i'm sure there's devices specificly made for this purpose out there somewhere.

I'm mildly confused are you asking how to put 2 audio sources into one output

as he said: because he wants both his echo and his tv to come out the same speakers.

seems like thats probably the best option, getting my stamp of approval there.

EDIT: correction, that thing is mono, i'd be surprised if there wasnt a stereo thing around.

found one that's just a slight slice more, from behringer as well.

my guess is a sane person would rather spend a slice more, than only have mono from their TV ;)
