290x Dynamic Memory - Quick question

Hi,

So... GPU-Z is telling me my 290x is using 0MB deidcated memory and 2500-4950[in way too high res StarCitizen (wanted to try something).

Now the Card has 4GB. How can it go up to 5GB?!

Dynamic is the one it's taking from the system RAM no?

-> Task manager showing no high memory usage of any program though

Shouldn't it use dynamic memory?

Is my GPU using system instead of VRAM?!

Thx ^^

Update gpu-z, it's a known issue with earlier builds of it since support for the Hawaii GPU's hasn't been added.

Been running the latest version 0.7.4 already. Installed it again, same issue, being shown as dynamic instead of dedicated.

MSI Afterburner on the otherhand seems to show 3.2GB when gpuz shows like 5.5GB so I guess it's using the dedicated memory after all as I can't see 4gb memory usage in the taskamanger ^^

or?...

Thx for your tip though ^^
