That if its out yet...

I have this:

https://www.asus.com/nz/Monitors/ROG-SWIFT-PG27AQ/

And its good but I hands down wish I had gotten a 4k OLED TV Instead. I have a 165Hz 1440p Gsync Monitor aswell and trust me, if you want to play anything other than games like Civ, Hearthstone, Starcraft etc (Topdown slow games) then hands down get a high refresh rate monitor, 1440p  165hz is the sweet spot imo. 4k Just isnt worth it right now.

Dunno why you would upgrade just to another 4k. If I was you Id get a high refresh rate monitor to play FPS on. That way you can do what I do and switch between them for Movies and different types of games so you always get the best experience.

I, too have the Asus PG27AQ. Coming from a 1200p TN, the jump to IPS was amazing. At this size, 4K is not essential, but after some time, you start to really appreciate the extra details. Mostly depends on the game, Andromeda and Dishonored2 were beautiful, Nier Automata and Original Sin 2 did not benefit from the extra pixel (to my opinion). The Acer X27 will probably be amazing but also extremely expensive.

Depends on your budget, your gaming environment( sit on couch, or chair? How far from screen?)
