H220 VS Glacer 240L

Go to solution Solved by Bluejay0,

If you are in the US market, the Glacier 240L is for you. It is a rebrand of the H220 exclusively for US markets due to the Asetek vs Swiftech lawsuit earlier this year. They preform similar and are exactly the same.

I am in the US and I can't find the H220 anywhere. I saw the Cooler Master Glacer 240L and it looks similar to the H220. Is the Glacer worth getting instead of the H220? The Glacer 240L is also upgradeable and is $10 less.

Note: I am using a Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z

I'd say go for the swiftech you have the capabilities to also do proper water-cooling as well. Is there a h320 you could also have in mind?

Just yesterday I saw Paul from Paul's Hardware in a Tek Syndicate livestream saying that they were pretty much the same, So I'd say yes.

They are very similar. The key differences (other than slight price difference) is the H220 has a 3 year warranty and the 240L has a 2 year and it appears that the 240L has louder fans (according to PCPartpicker).

NCIX (USA) - $149.99 (http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=79583&vpn=H220&manufacture=Swiftech)

the CM is louder using the blade master fan (2000rpm) versus the helix 120 (1800rpm).
