what does it mean?

looking for explanation of what does mean that blue fill in square instead of simple checkmark, which is also provided to me to select(watch the pics).  I want to make read only filles, and don't know what to choose, whether that blue fill or simple checkmark..

This has to do with the sub options. In this case, the stuff in the Advanced menu. The filled box means some of those advanced options are selected, a check mark means all of the advanced options are selected.
